Type 1 Diabetes Symptoms

Type one diabetes is also known as Diabetes Mellitus and Juvenile Onset Diabetes.  Type one diabetes is when the body has attacked the pancreas, which has the cells that produce the hormone called insulin.  When the body does this, its natural ability to provide its own insulin is taken away ; although requiring the employment of insulin injections usually for the rest of their life.

Insulin injections will be required at each meal time and at bed time.  Most Type 1 diabetics take approximately 3-4 insulin injections every day.  Diabetes Mellitus is a particularly major condition and you may wish to receive treatment as soon as you most likely can if you feel as if though you could be a diabetic.
Symptoms- Type one Diabetes Symptoms include :

1.  Excessive thirst
2. Excessive urination.  Truly concentrate on see whether or not you are waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom.  This may definitely be a tell-tell sign of diabetes.
3. Intestinal agony
4. Fatigue
5.  Weight loss.  As the body is not able to use the energy that’s being consumed and the sugar is staying in the blood stream, your body will start to burn energy that it has stored in the form of fat.  This is the reason why you may experience weight reduction although you may still have an ordinary appetite or have not modified your diet.
6. Absence of menstruation
7.  Revulsion
8.  Vomiting

Diabetes affects each patient in other ways.  If you look in the varied publications that are available about diabetes there are actually many different symptoms.  Just because one patient may experience one symptom doesn’t mean the same symptom will be prevalent in another patient.

The above 8 symptoms are just the common symptoms that are experienced by Type one diabetic patients.  These are the symptoms that are typically seen and can be related to Type one diabetes more so than any other symptom.

keep in mind that you could experience more than one of these symptoms and the symptoms could take a time period to develop.  To paraphrase, you might experience the increased thirst symptom and then 4 weeks later start experiencing the excessive urination.  This suggests that you have essentially been diabetic for a month without receiving hospital treatment and this can cause a deadly situation.  So, to be safe, when you start experiencing the first indication of Type one diabetes you must inform your consultant as quickly as possible so that they can schedule a glucose toleration test to accurately identify whether or not you are a diabetic or not.

Do not immediately say that one of these symptoms is related to something else.  The truth is you can never know.  You must inform your physician as quickly as possible because if not treated, blood glucose levels will continue to rise which can lead to a diabetic coma, ketoacidosis and probably even death.  Diabetes is a serious condition and will be taken seriously and treated as quickly as possible.
